So I just got an email from my Dad—Apparently my Aunt is coming up next week from Charlotte with my 2 cousins--- They’ve NEVER been up here (well, not since my Aunt was like in her 20’s….her kids have never been up North, EVER). Anyhow….my cousin Sam is in a band which is touring and will be in Boston at O’Brien’s Pub. He’s been in quite a few bands over the years….usually punk/hard core crap—but he is pretty talented. It’s funny tho, because he used to be a straight-edged good clean cut kid. He swam competitively from when he was like 8 til 16….even won a Silver Medal in the Jr. Olympics! Then one day—he quit it all. Started drinking heavily & smoking pot, told everyone to fuck off…..and started playing guitar. LOL (well, thats how the story goes to all of us up here) Now he excels in that. His band is here: http://www.myspace.com/thedirtysouthrevolutionaries …Go Sam, Go. I will give it to him—whatever he’s ever had his heart set on—he surely always succeeds to the fullest!
Anyhow….we haven’t seen them since our trip to SC 2 summers ago to visit my Grandma—so I think we’ll be taking a trek down to Mass again next week to see them! I miss my Aunt Melissa! I’m excited!

Had a good productive weekend. Saturday was Mike’s Birthday—we hung out at home—i made him a big breakfast, and completely and thoroughly cleaned out his nasty truck as his birthday present. Cleaned out the trash, vacuumed, wiped everything down and Armour’aled it as well. How can men be so icky?! :-P Anyhow….I also inadvertently drained his truck battery….but that’s another story. Ooops……
I let him choose his Birthday dinner--- he chose Chinese take-out—so I treked out to Brattleboro and got some along with an Ice Cream cake. Mmmmm…….

Finally gained *some* control of what was our crazy house! Spent most of yesterday reorganizing the toy heaps & catching up on cleaning. Also got the mountain of laundry back under control.

Oh yea....Friday night, we finally got new cell-phones! Woo. Since we were already bound to our current contracts (tho, i was able to get us a MUCH lower plan)-- we needed better phones. Our old ones were almost 4 years old and really beat.
Anyhow...got a good promo deal (free!)... We got LG Shines: 
They ROCK! Plus, we got free blue-tooth headsets with them-- not something I cared about, but Mike really wanted one--and they came "free" with the phones if you make a $25 donation to the Ronald McDonald House. (Bluetooth is usually $40 each)

Today was a typical day of Monday blahs—plus it was overcast & chilly all day. Our plans of playing & cleaning up the backyard were put aside….just too chilly out. Plus, Paige didnt sleep well last night. Soooo…. all that made the perfect evening to just vegge out on the couch, order subs & watch a movie together.
We watched the Lion King. Man, I am such a wimp. I weeped. When Simba & Moofasa are chasing each other in the meadow, playing….i cried cause I knew it was one of their last “moments” together. When Scar kills Moofasa—I sobbed. When Simba thinks HE killed his father…. I got ANGRY and cried. LOL!!! Paige liked the movie…..for the animals mainly. She didn't get the storyline though, which I suppose is good. She just saw it for cute kitties….innocence is nice.
We showered, and spit water at each other for like 10 minutes, all the while giggling like lil girls. LOL. I so do love this age!!
Tho, it’s 9pm and she is still awake in bed. This seems to cycle every month or 2…where she sleeps good for weeks…then hits a rough patch and lacks sleep for like a week. Hrmph.
And my motivation to type anymore has hit a wall. G’night all…
