Just came back from Target with the Easter Bunny goods. $25 total spent on her basket this year...more than I anticipated, but Im happy with my "Theme".
I got her a little pink watering can, gardening gloves, a small pink cultivator/rake and 2 packets of flower seeds (pansies and some sort of blue flower). I thought gardening theme would be cute and suiting for Easter/Spring-- plus it's something she'll actually use. Plus, i had already gotten some play jewelry (which Im sure she'll wear on Easter), and a lil catch set (2 velcro pads/mitts with a fuzzy bunny that sticks to it to play "catch" or "toss" with). And lets not forget some jelly beans & mini chocolate eggs.
My SIL will be doing the Easter Egg Hunt at her house this year--- she does have the bulk of the little kids (8, 7 & 1 year old)-- so it was fair-- plus my neice is getting baptized on Easter Sunday as well, so it's a crazy day for them. So we'll head over there from my parents house on Sunday morning....
On Saturday evening we'll have dinner at my sister's house, and Valerie (11), and Alex (16) will decorate Easter Eggs for P.
Good time spending with all her cousins-- she's sooo excited! After the hunt on Sunday, we'll head to Mike's Aunt's for an early dinner/late lunch-- then go to my Nana's for dessert. Phew. Crazy long day--- typical holiday for us. :-P
P's follow up appt with the ENT went OK. She REFUSED to let ANYONE touch her. Ugh. Wouldnt even let the nurse take her temperature. I had to hold her down just for that. Then the Doctor came in, he was as sweet as can be and really was nice to me and kept insisting I dont beat myself up anymore about what happened. It took me and a nurse to hold P down just so he could look in her ear for 30 seconds.
Basically, he said "it looks like a mending eardrum"...and that it "made itself a band-aid"-- meaning, the drum was punctured, but it has scabbed over (which is GOOD), and it is mending well. He lifted the "no water" ban, and she can now resume her normal showers & daily activities. We finished up the rest of the drops this morning, and the antibiotic will be all done on Sunday. We got back in 6 weeks to just check and ensure all is healed. Thank goodness.
We have a Hannah Montana movie showing tomorrow for the listeners of our stations at a local cinema-- it starts at 10am. I thought i was all set to be off this weekend, but JUST found out I am expected to be there for the set-up of this. How lame. I have to drive 25 minutes to be there at 9am-- hang some banners, take some photos, and done at 10am-- then drive 25 minutes back home. So NOT worth my time or gas!!!! Then we leave for a 3 hour drive to Mass shortly after. Blah.
OK-- need to wrap things up here in the office so i can grab some groceries then head home. Adios-- and I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend, whether you celebrate or not!
