Oi...work is frustrating today.... I can't wait til this week is over and done with (Thursday Night in particular)...so we'll have 1 big promotion over and done with and I can focus solely on Taste of Home.
P's feeling better, thankfully. She was still sluggish yesterday, so we kept her home, and I came home after work...rather than venturing out with her. We finger/foot painted on the kitchen floor....and squished cornstarch/water for awhile. Then she played her computer game some while I cruised the 'net (hehe).... I made steak tips & macaroni for dinner.... she showered, and was in bed by 7:30pm.... tho didn't fall asleep til 8:30pm....even with being still sick and never napping. Where does this child get her non-stop energy?!
Had civil conversations with Mike this weekend. Not all resolved...but started putting things out in the open so he knows where my heart stands right now. It was a pretty good weekend....still dont have "answers" or solutions to some things tho.... We'll be ok...eventually....i hope....
Gotta food shop today. While I love food shopping...i HATE spending so much money on f'in food. Right now, we've been averaging about $300-$350 a month in groceries. Yikes....and we're only a family of 3!!! We're out of so many odd and ends right now...like cheese & eggs, etc....
So, we've had a pretty good past week of melting temps (30's and 40's).....and alas...it's back to winter for us. Expecting a few inches tonight/tomorrow. D'oH!!!! We finally got the snow total down....its about 5 or 6 inches left on the ground.... *sigh*...i was enjoying being able to walk on the sidewalk again and see my mailbox and the street when backing out!
Birds are confused, and they will VERY much confused after it snows again. LOL. This morning when I opened the side door to leave, there were birds outside chirping. Well....the kittens have apparently never heard birds before (we got them mid-October--- so they were all gone by then!). It was hysterical. They were in mid-wrestle on the kitchen floor when they both heard a blue-jay cawing. They froze solid, and their lil eyeballs BUGGED right out of their heads (Like a WTF was THAT!?) . Belle did the army crawl sort of croutch across the kitchen floor to the door. Buster just sat there, ears moving every which way....looking wild eyed. Hehe. This spring will be so much fun with them....wait til the birds start flying around, and the lady bugs start coming into the house!
Im addicted to Scavenger Hunt & Word Hunt on Facebook now. Evil lil search games always get me hooked.
Im almost done with making a complete DVD of videos from 2006-2008.....just for our archives...and Ill make a few copies for family....esp my Grandma in SC...it may help her memory to see video of everyone vs. still photos...
