In the spirit of the random 25's passing via email, facebook, myspace, etc..... Ill do it via blog.

Basically, post 25 random facts about yourself!


1. I was Danger Mouse for Halloween when I was 5. My mom made the costume and it was so awesome....eye patch and all. I still cant believe that she let me leave the house with just white tights & undies on for the bottoms....the costume had no pants!

2. I had buck teeth when my adult teeth grew in. They hung over my bottom lip. I got braces to fix them when i was 11 and in the 6th grade---right before Thanksgiving. I ate only mashed potatoes for turkey day that year. :-P

3. My parents seemed to forget about the whole kid & bike thing. The person to teach me how to ride a 2-wheel bike was my friend Shanna, when we were 6. She had been riding for years, and I have NEVER ridden one. After i learned on her old bike, my parents finally bought me my own bike for my 7th birthday.

4. I bit my preschool teacher.

5. I gouged my swimming instructor in the face with my fingernails when she tried to pick me up and carry me away from my mom. I was 4. Dont mess with me. ;-) I still remember doing so.

6. Yes, to #4 & 5, I had some separation anxiety issues from my mom. She was a SAHM til i was 5. I did fine once i was in Kindergarten.

7. My best friend Elizabeth moved across the country to Washington state when we were in the 4th grade. It sucked, but we wrote each other religiously for years , and she even stayed at my house once when she came back to visit family. Unfortunately, we've lost touch over the years. I did find her on Myspace 2 years ago...and found, she has a son that is 1 month younger than my daughter!

8. My first real paying job was at a Dry Cleaners when I was 15. I had to check the pockets of dirty laundry (so gross) then ticket & tag everything.

9. I saved up everything I made for a year before I had enough to buy my first car in February of 1997. It was a 1989 Ford Escort ...I bought it for $1700...it had like 80,000 miles on it. Made a lot of great memories in that thing!

10. I had 2 tabby cats growing up. Ms & Max.

11. Instead of puttying & patching the nail & screw holes in Paige's bedroom walls (from where photos & letters used to hang)...i just stuck some butterfly stickers i found in her crafts bucket over the holes.....shhhh!

12. My dad took me to my first live concert. It was Pearl Jam, at the Orpheum Theatre in 1994. Mudhoney opened. I think i got my first contact high that night too. ;-)

13. I became an aunt for the first time when I was 7 years old. I now have 3 nieces & 3 nephews!

14. When I was 7, I also had a rock-band. Yea. They were my 3 stuffed animals. I have several audio tapes of them singing (i did all the voices). I swore, Snoopy, Rabbit & Graham's "Where On Our Own" was gonna make it platinum.

15. I always envisioned I would have a son. When I first found out I was having a daughter, I will admit....i was a bit taken back for the first few minutes...but didnt show it. I quickly fell in love with her tho...and now cant imagine her not being her. If i ever have another child, I would honestly love to have another daughter as well! (plus, my daughter wants a baby sister!)

16. As a kid and even a teen....I wanted to be a boy. I hated being a girl, and thought boys had it a lot easier.

17. I don't like most processed/pre-packaged foods. Many of them actually make me ill, and it took me years of eating that crap to figure it out.

18. With that said (#17), i rarely bake anything from a mix anymore. I'd rather build my own tomato sauces too.

19. Seafood looks appetizing. I see commercials for shrimp scampi and such, and would love to try it....but my mouth wont let me. Its odd....but.....my body wont even let me swallow seafood anymore. The last 2x i ate tunafish, i got violently ill. So...I dont even try anymore.

20. My first "boyfriend" was Dana Mattson, in the 4th grade. He wrote me a love letter, confessing his love to me.....I showed the letter to my parents, and they wanted me to invite him over! At his 10th birthday party, he put his arm around me in front of all of his family and proudly introduced me as his girlfriend.

21. I worked as a Real Estate Title Examiner all through college. It can be a pain in the ass and stressful, but really...it was an interesting job. I don't miss thumbing through the stinky old record books tho!

22. Mike and I dated for almost a month before we first kissed.

23. We dated for 3 months before first sleeping together.... (and we were each other's firsts)....

24. I stole a package of Halls from a store when I was like 5 (had it in my hand while shopping with my mom, and forgot about it...). I felt so guilty afterward, I thought i was a criminal and was paranoid the police were going to arrest me.

25. I used to be obsessed with rollerblading. I'd skate for hours afterschool every day.
