Irony-- This Saturday & Sunday, its been SUNNY and upper 50's, lower 60's outside. Absolutely gorgeous.....so i heard. Saturday, i worked the cooking show from 8am til 7pm...and Sunday, i woke with a stomach bug...and spent the day in bed or hugging the toliet.
I am off from work today (took a vacation day to spend some time with the munchkin)...and guess what? It's freaking 33 degrees out and SNOWING.
That's irony, folks. LOL. Beg with the warm weather, then i don't get to experience it-- and when i am finally free and healthy, it's snowing again. Dang it!
Taste of Home went great, as expected! Had a few pre-show issues involving Verizon, but we resolved them. Our staff was top notch and kicked ass. The photographer girl was a pain in the butt and a bit snooty-- i could have done without her--- glad i wasnt the one that hired her! Overall, it was a long day, but another success. Kinda makes me sad when I think that *might* be the last one I do....as we may be living more South this time next year..... (maybe)... ah well.... new adventures will await us down there too!
A coworker left the show early in the morning with an apparent stomach bug, and I believe thats where i caught it. I was sooooooooo exhausted when i came home Saturday night. My feet & legs hurt so much from running/walking around all day in the school. Kinda sad tho...just goes to show how badly out of shape I am! Dang the long winter months.... cant wait for warmer weather and no snow covered roads so i can get out and WALK again!
Anyhow, being exhuasted, im sure the bug took advantage of me...i woke Sunday morning feeling a bit cruddy....and that quickly escalated to a total body cleansing. :-( ....yucko. I felt and looked aweful.....seriously, my face was so white, it matched my white t-shirt! Thankfully I have my color back today and feel a TON better.
I do have a give a huge KUDOS to Mike... he ended up with full Paige duty for 3 days in a row....
Paige is in quiet time as i type this-- we're finally getting wet snow, which makes for good snowman snow. It's March, and this is our first round of good snowman snow ALL winter! So, we'll head out in a bit and attempt to make one......which reminds me...i gotta set up the kettle before we head out so I can get some hot chocolate when we come in!
Washing sheets & bedding today....disenfected the bathroom and all doorknobs, remotes, light switches, etc...... i really hope no one else gets what i had!
Hey...today's my last day at 28....!!! I hope to receive some ice cream cake tomorrow. I even left a $5 coupon on the dining room table for one.... ahem....hint hint....nudge, nudge. ;-)

You mean there are different types of snow??
haha- yes my snow virgin friend! There's powder snow...which is the light and fluffy snow...it does NOT stick together...and is just as described, powder. Try to pack it with your hands and it just stays powdery.
There's sleet.... like frozen snow/ice pellets
then there's the heavy WET snow... which packs well and you can make snowballs & snowmen with!
