So yesterday afternoon before I left work, I said to my fellow coworker, Kate, after she said "See you tomorrow", I replied... "No you won't!". (Mind you, Kate was 39 weeks, 2 days pregnant- due June 6th and so miserable!). "Oh, I ONLY WISH!, He's not coming anytime soon".... I laughed and left.
Baby Stephen was born at 5:32am this morning (Hah!). 39 weeks, 3 days (same gestation as Paige). 8 lbs, 14 oz and 20.75 inches long! Mom and baby are doing GREAT!! Yea! Congrats Kate & Stephen and welcome baby boy!!!
I just came back from my monthly OB appt. This was the first appointment they actually measured my belly! Dylan is measuring 23 weeks (I am 22 weeks, 5 days- so he's right on target!). The Midwife I saw this time is a bit hippy-ish, but as sweet as sweet can be. We talked about sibling spacing, as her son/daughter are 5 years apart, and how great they get along. Hopefully the same applies to us.
Im halfway through and have gained roughly 10 lbs so far. My hands and feet swell at the end of the day consistently now....worse when it's hot out. She says all that is normal, we both seem healthy.
I rocked the glucose test last month. The "concern-able" results are 130 or above. I got an 88. Ooooo yea. They will retest me at 28 weeks or so to make sure Im still doing well.
She listened to Dylan's heart- sounds great! I love this timeframe....as the baby's heartbeat is no longer that "swoosh, swoosh, swoosh" sound....now it's a clear "ba-boom, ba-boom, ba-boom"! She kept smiling and said he sounds healthy and seems like a happy baby. :-)
On a side note...now if my first born would be a HAPPY child.... all would be perfect! We're still battling attitudes and ungratefulness and lack of listening. I hope it's just an age thing!! We never got the "Terrible Twos".... and I feel like Im paying for that NOW! *sigh*. LOL.
