25 Weeks!

Yep....I hit the "25 week marker" this past Friday. Hooray!!! Baby boy is getting more active (well, im sure he's always active, but I can now FEEL him more consistently). Thanks to an anterior placenta, i dont feel as much up front until now.

The wedding of the century was Saturday! Congratulations to my brother Dan, and his new wife, Crystal! Welcome to our family....not only did you gain a last name that you will forever have mispronounced and misspelled, but you also gained 1 brother, 2 sisters, 7 nieces and nephews and 1 more nephew on the way! :-)

The good: Paige had a BLAST!!! She was as patient as a 4 1/2 year old can be. She loved watching the girls get their makeup on and hang out. She woke at 6:30am ready for the day. She got to wear a Tiara that matched the brides, and truly felt like a little princess. She danced her lil heart out and didn't stop....seriously, she was the highlight of the dance-floor....my lil dancing queen! Crystal looked beautiful, the food was great (mmmm....roast beef!). Weather rocked. Paige also got her first ride in a limo and thought it was the COOLEST THING EVER! My dress was comfortable. The music choices were great. Everyone got along!

The bad: The day was simply waaaaaaaay too long for everyone else involved. It should have and could have started at 2pm and everything would have gone smoother. But instead, we had to all have our makeup and hair done at 9am. Yes, 9am. I was out of there by 10:30am....and had nothing to do til 2pm. I couldn't go out side. ...or the heat would have melted the makeup off me. I couldn't take a nap, or my makeup and hair would have been a MESS. I had to be super careful eating, moving, etc. Sort of sucked. We finally packed up at 2pm, and met the wedding party at the hotel in Plymouth. Then we sat and waited some more. And waited. And waited. We finally got the green light to get dressed around 3:30pm. Final makeup touch-ups, and Paige finally got her hair done (after asking me 142034924829839 times when it would get done). Then we went downstairs and sat in the lobby and waited. And waited. And waited. 2 kids under 5, bored.out.of.their.minds. Poor Owen, my 2 year old nephew, was soooo bored...Paige asked me another 5984390585908 times when we were going to leave....can we go outside? Im bored. Can we play? Finally at like 5:15pm, we FINALLY got to go outside....and have pictures done...which took about 45 minutes. She maintained her cool the best she could. After the ceremony, we again stood and waited 30 minutes for more photos...luckily the weather was nice, just SUPER windy! (my hair was EVERYWHERE!). Then after that, we stood in a room with appetizers, stuffed our starving faces and waiting another 30 minutes to be introduced...by this point, all the adults in the wedding party were slugging down drinks to settle their own aggravation (did I mention there were 10 bridesmaids and 10 groomsmen?)! Then we had to wait til almost 9:30pm before the dance floor opened up and the actual fun dancing began!

So as you can see.....waaay too much dead time for all involved...but kudos to my little girl for her patience. She did have a mega melt-down when we left at 11pm...but I will chalk that up to being overtired, since she literally passed out 2 minutes down the road!

I know my bad looks longer than the good...but the good was so good......it did outweigh the suckass waiting. :-) ..... We are happy we could have been a part of it...and glad in the end it all went as smooth as it could, and hope the bride & groom had a great time.

Now for next weekend....do we go back down for the B&D concert....or chill at home? Hmmmm....
