So...we tried...but just werent getting the timing right... whatever...who knows. This month I was so excited. My last cycle started on September 17th. 30 days forward is October 17th. Leaving the estimated ovulation time to fall on the WEEKEND of Oct 3rd. Woo! We're together on weekends! Those are our ONLY nights together!
I started my OPK's this month ....figured after 6 months of no results....it was time to get down to business .... and WTF...did I not ovulate?
According to the kit, with my "average" cycle being 30 days, I was to start the 7 days of tests on the 13th cycle day, which was Tuesday, Sept 29th.
I tried my best to take them the same time every evening. The only exception was Friday....we were out of town that evening and didnt get home til past 11pm....I took the test really late that night. That's my only hope....perhaps the "surge" occured earlier that day and I just didnt catch it via test cause I tested soooo much later. Is that at all possible?
I used these exact brand tests when TTC for my daughter. Worked like a charm-- Thanksgiving night I had two dark as night lines...and wha-la....baby bean was conceived.
I got no 2 dark lines here. ARG!
Im saving some hope that Friday was my surge and I just missed the timeframe. Please?? We dtd Friday night & Sunday night....if I did indeed ovulate when I *should*...that should be perfect timing.
I hope. If not...then I didn't ovulate or have a messed up cycle suddenly...and seriously, the world is apparently against me.
(dang those things are hard to photograph clearly!)

Dang! It does look like they are getting increasingly darker though - that's what would happen with me and then suddenly I'd get the dark lines. Do you have any more OPK's? I bought a big 25 pack from ebay ($9.99!) and did them the whole month because I had a feeling a was ovulating earlier than the predicted date and I was right. It is definitely possible to ovulate late some months - hang in there!
Tonight's looked a tad bit darker than the rest, BUT...it is also the most recent, and hasnt been sitting in a box in the bathroom for days like the others.
No..today was the last test I had-- I had a 7-day pack.
I hope I did O this weekend. Because DTD during the week is utterly impossible for us since we only see each other in passing M-F.
If this is a "normal" cycle, I am on day 19.
I have no advice, as I've never used these, but I'm sending lots of ovulating and baby dust your way! Hope this month is the month!
