Sneezy Monday...

Allergies are upon us! Blah! I think it's tied in with a long weekend and lots of driving. Im just utterly exhausted today and all stuffed up!

Paige woke up "off" yesterday.... was overly whiny and a tad bit warm to the touch (tho no fever)-- she's been lethargic too and super cuddly. Says she doesn't feel well, but can't pinpoint any ailments. Of course I cant help but worry with everything going around right now....but Im trying to keep my cool-- she's vegging on the couch today with plently of OJ. She does have a dry cough and a little bit of congestion.

Anyhow...

This weekend was great! It was nice to play catch-up with my cousin. She really has grown up a lot since we last saw her 2 years ago. My aunt dropped a ton of weight and is doing mentally better, so it seems. We all hung out at my parents house on Friday night, Paige & Kirsten became instant buddies and played, played played. Saturday Mike & I took them out to Randolph to St. Mary's cemetary to visit Sharon's grave & the Whites graves as well. Once again, intuition found their sites. It's hard describing what a cemetary is to a 3 year old...but I think she grasped it decently. Paige was too sweet when she went picking dandelions to put on the graves...then of course wanted to put them on the neighboring graves too. I learned that my grandmother had delivered a baby boy whom only survived a day or so-- his name was either Richard or Robert .... Melissa swore he had a small stone there nearby Sharon, but we couldnt find it anywhere--- it may be overgrown by now (this happened in the late 1950's). Apparently this is all news to my father. He knows about the miscarried twins, but not of his passed brother. Or at least he says so or simply doesnt remember.

Anyhow.... from there we scooted over to my brother's house in Norton for Taylor's 1st Communion Party. Chaotic like usual, but fun! Jenn put out an incredible spread of food like usual. I am bummed I never got a chance to sit & chill with anyone. I have so many pictures of everyone catching up and chit-chatting....but i never got to participate in any of it. Do other moms of young children go through this too, or is it just me? I spent most of the afternoon outside watching my child and assisting in keeping an eye on the other kids too. Taylor had a friend over, Lisa & Garrett went to Boston and had left Brady there for the evening, so I was assisting Chris in keeping an eye on him too (he just turned 4, so him and Paige got along well, they were very sweet with each other)... besides, Chris had Owen most of the afternoon...and we all know how demanding an 18 month old can be! So, despite having fun..... it was the sort of fun to see all the kids having fun..... I did chat with my brother in law Mark for like 5 minutes .....otherwise, I didnt get a chance to really talk to anyone! Oh well.... P had a blast, and that's all that matters! We got back to my parents house around 9pm, and P was zonked out by 10pm.....we all slept like rocks that night!

We got back to NH around 5pm yesterday. Paige had an overtired melt-down in the car on the way home, but recovered with the help of chicken nuggets & fries from BK. :-P

Back to the grind today.... sleepy! Weekends like that make us so energized tho to really find a place down there.....

OK...must run for now.... should do SOME work today...

That's sounds like a great time! It's always nice to get out of town every once in a while. I know what you mean about not getting time to talk - it's frustrating sometimes! Hope P is feeling better!
