69 Posts--- Bow chica wow-wow!

Yea for 69 posts (this is #70....)

Dang, what is with this backwards spring? We jumped into the warm weather in mid-March with 60's and 70's all through April...and this past week it's been 50 and rainy. Brrrrr! This feels like early April weather, and it's almost June!

NYC was FANTABULOUS. We were soooo exhausted by the end of both days....we're cheap and broke, so everything we saw was by foot. It was nice to just be out and walking aimlessly seeing stuff. I did much better than I expected when my Mom drove away with P Saturday morning....I hugged her long before strapping her into her carseat and kissed her several times--i felt sad...but really, after they drove away....i was fine--- calm! Mike and I went in and got dressed, packed up and were on the road to New York City around 11am. The drive in was decent-- we did get stuck in traffic in the Bronx for like 30 minutes-- it was like something from a movie...graffiti everywhere...and the parks were filled with inner city dudes playing basketball and tons of kids swinging in the playground.

Saturday we did the Central Park thing-- so much was going on that day inside the park. Then we grabbed giant (and delicious) pizza and a greek salad and brought it back to our hotel room and crashed for the night ....ate pizza in bed and watched cheasy HBO movies--- ahhhh, the simple things in life!

Sunday was the 1st official day of a vehicle free Times Square. Plus, it was street fair day. Chaos! We toured the NBC Studios (AWESOME!) at Rockefellar Center....Browsed the giant Times Square Toys R Us, as well as M&M World and the Hard Rock...then went to the Ripley's Believe It or Not! Museum. Had dinner at a brew pub-- then did some people watching from our hotel room the rest of the evening. Did have a fight later that night...*sigh*....

Paige had a blast with my parents-- they went to Blue Hills, the farm, my nephew's b'day party, and out to Friendlys and even Burger King. When Mike & I arrived on Monday evening to pick her up...she had no interest in seeing us!!! Lil booger. She didnt want to leave! We finally left there around 6pm for the trek home-- and she zonked out in the car like 10 minutes down the road. We stopped at Chili's about an hour from home for dinner around 8pm when she woke...and that nap was just what she needed--- cause THEN she stuck to me like glue...and I loved it! ;-) I had to carry her everywhere! Awwww.....I did miss my girl...and she missed me! :-) ...we got home around 10:30 on Monday night. What a long day!

Anyhow-- been a crazy busy work week. We're bringing Country Artist Chuck Wicks to the Colonial Theatre tomorrow night (Yea, the same guy that was on Dancing with the Stars this past season). Should be a good show--- been a lot of work prepping for it.

So much I wanted to put in here....and I forgot what else. Nice. Maybe Ill check back in later if I remember??

Wow, Vicki, I'm jealous! A weekend alone with hubby! I haven't had alone time for ages! I miss that... and now we moved away from family so it gets more complicated. Now that the girls are getting older I don't feel so guilty. We'll see what I come up with. Sounds like you had a great time! When is the next one?
