Paige did great on her 1st day of K! Full of smiles and stories when she got home...we went out for dinner & ice cream to celebrate her officially becoming a Big Girl. :-)
Day 2 went rough with drop-off, she did break down into tears. I stayed in class with her for awhile til she settled down. When I picked her up, she said the rest of the day went fine. Day 3 drop-off was MUCH better, no tears...just hugs & kisses! :-)
Nursery is almost complete. I need to make a list of items we still need.... a Hamper (right now will use a wicker laundry basket) ... and a lidded trash barrel (with a foot pedal, preferably)... we cant find any in store around here, that aren't $30+ or HUGE! I just want one that's between 5-8 gallons for dirty diapers. We may just order one online. I also need baby clothes hangers, diaper rash ointment, new rectal thermometer, hair brush, nasal aspirator, more pacifiers (i bought 4...but those of you with binky kids know how easily they are lost or dirtied!), ....just basically all the lil hygiene type stuff. And of course...DIAPERS & WIPES! We have so much clothing, it wont fit in his dresser drawers. Lots of shoes, socks, sheets. Could use a few snuggly baby blankets, tho.... all the old ones I have are totally girl colors & designs!
I am missing a bag of baby stuff.... it's gotta be buried in the heap of junk in the storage room. It has a changing table pad cover, and the froggy activity mat in it... (and perhaps more baby blankets? I can think of a few that were neutral colored...but can't find them!). I may have to send Mike in there this weekend with a mission to search and recover.
Have I mentioned the leaves on the trees here are starting to change color already? The confusing part is that it's been in the HIGH 90's ALL WEEK! Make-up your mind!
