38 week, 6 days check-up

So my OB had an emergency c-section to tend to....so they assigned me to another OB to see today at the last minute.

Then THAT OB had an emergency c-section to attend to. LOL.

Soooo... I saw a really nice APRN today.

In total, Ive gained about 38 lbs. Yep, still swelling in my hands/ankles/feet. It gets worse as the day goes on...but resets every night.

Yep, still HUGE. As she put it "You've got a full-house!". My belly measures off the charts. Not surprising. Have you SEEN me??!

HB was a good solid 135 bpm...when she was listening, my belly tensed up for it's 1 millionth Braxton Hicks today...and his hb accelerated a bit. She said this is good, proves he is handling stress good, too.

When she was feeling his position, she pushed VERY slightly on my pubic bone. I almost SCREAMED it hurt so bad...which surprised me. Apparently, this means my pubic bone & pelvis are separating and moving apart.... to make room for baby to descend. His head is right there...slightly to the right side. When she pressed on his head, that made me jump as well as I felt it throughout my whole body.

This also explain why im getting so good at waddling like a penguin....

Been contracting a bunch lately...but still NOTHING consistent. Last night i'd have 2 within 5 minutes....then nothing for 40 minutes. Then one...then another 14 minutes later....then another 22 minutes later... etc. No pattern what so ever. The Braxton Hicks are practically non-stop....but they do go away with an obnoxious amount of fluid intake and when I rest. Last night I crashed out hard at 10:30pm after an evening full of BH and contrx. I woke at midnight.....(choking on a mouth full of stomach acid, mind you...blech)..and they had all stopped.

Everywhere I go.... people correctly predict Im having a boy. One mom told me today, while we were in line at Subway, it's cause Im "all belly" and carrying it "all out front". Which is true. I certainly am carrying this guy MUCH different than I did my daughter. I was pregnant EVERYWHERE with her.... this time, its solely belly. And lots o'belly.

And that's everything in a nut-shell.

Send me some good labor vibes, eh? I'm feeling ready to wrap up this chapter of my life. Thankful, blessed, and ready. Ready for life with my 2 kids. Ready to be Momx2.

Sounds like you're progressing well. Did she check your cervix? You're a better woman than I, cause I'd be getting induced right about now! :)
Just think, one of these days, very soon, this will all be over and just a memory. Hang in there!!
