A woman on my new birth board posted about getting excited about the holidays. She is a first time Mom and cant wait to finally be able to expierence everything with her newborn.
It made me think back to when I was expecting Paige....and how excited I was too. It was going to no longer just be Mike and I at the holidays....they were to from now on revolve around our children. (and how TRUE that is!).

We have an almost 5 year old as well...and I remember all the excitement as a FTM for her!
Now my excitement includes being able to share it all with BOTH of my kids. I cant wait to watch my daughter AND her baby brother awe over the Christmas lights. We do plan to dress up my son on Halloween...ill probably put him in the front carrier while I take her out Trick or Treating. She can't wait to "show him off". 
Ive always loved getting cute dresses for her to wear at the holidays, and now I can also get cute lil man outfits, too! (sweater vests, button-down shirts, etc....teeehehe!).
When I stepped back from all the frustrations ...... and thought about it.....its really what its all about, isnt it? Experiencing life through our childrens' lives.....holidays included.

You head the nail on the head - it's all about the little things in life, and spending time with family. :) We have so much to look forward to.
