What have we been up to lately?
- Living vicarious through Kate.
- Being bored.
- Figuring out why our giant cat is so giant
- Being bored some more.
Kate is basically the office manager/receptionist at my work. Sweet young girl, she got married last year, they bought their first house, and are currently expecting their first baby! She is currently 22 weeks...and finally goes in for her u/s tomorrow! I say "finally", cause she was supposed to go 2 weeks ago, but the hospital quadruple booked, and had to reschedule her. How frustrating! LOL! I feel like I am going through this first person. ;-) I voted "Girl" for her today....solely based on how she is carrying (high)....buuuuttt....my gut is saying "Boy". We shall see tomorrow.
We've been bored. Yes, I work til 2....pick Paige up from school... home by 3pm, then we proceed most afternoons to be BORED. She watches Curious George then Word Girl..... and I usually pick up the house, fold some laundry, etc.... but really, LIFE IS FUCKING BORING! I still am in desperate need of friends and activities! Even our weekends are boring. Mike is home, we sit on our computers while Paige plays. Maybe go out for dinner, then Mike and I catch up on all our DVR'ed shows after P goes to bed. Lather, Rinse, Repeat.
Buster is part MAINE COON cat!!! That explains why he continues to get LARGE, yet his sister (not biological, but same age)....is slim and meek at about 10 lbs. While he approaches 18 lbs. He has the signature 3 layered coat, long thick whiskers and sheer size. Yes, full bred are MUCH larger, but they are certain he's got some in him. Or maybe he ate a Maine Coon.... :-P
Yea, still bored. I have spicy Italian sausages cooking up in the oven, spaghetti sauce simmering on the stove...and crazy child contently dancing around the kitchen.
Tomorrow night at P's school there is an after-school activities fair starting at 5pm, followed by a fundraiser spaghetti dinner (YES! MORE SPAGHETTI!), and then NHPTV (PBS) is visiting with Clifford the Big Red Dog and books for all the kids.
Thursday Night is our monthly "Preschool Night" from 6p-7p.
Huuuuraaahh! Something to do this week. I am seriously looking forward to both nights.

How funny Paige singing around. Emma is the same way, always singing and dancing around. I always get the feeling Emma and Paige would get along great! Pity we're so far away!
We're in the same boat with the predictable/always the same life.... I used to think it was great.. now not so much.... We've been here almost a year and a half and have not made real/true friends. Yeah, I've met people, thrown a few parties but it's like it's always me inviting... you know what I mean? I sometimes feel that people have all the friends they need and it's like I'm imposing... I don't know if it makes sense but that's how I feel. Anyway, this is turning into a novel, so I'll stop. Just letting you know that you're not alone.
