Lucky Sunday....

Sundays are typical "MY" day to "sleep in".

Sleep in is a loose term here. I technically still wake up when Paige does. This morning she woke around 6am, and needed help in the bathroom. I obliged, tucked her back in (it was still dark out...)...and crawled back into my own bed. She never fell back asleep and talked to me loudly from her room every 10-15 minutes til 7am. 7am is our acceptable 4 year old wake-up time. Anyhow, I napped on and off in that protective mom mode til 9am, when it was really getting too late and bad parenting laws were kicking in. I kicked Mike a few times til he woke up, and he finally got up with her ...giving me "my day to sleep in".

I fell back asleep til about 10am...and dozed on/off for an additional hour! Sweet bliss!

When I finally got up....I figured...what the hey, I'd POAS...i did just buy a 3 pack yesterday at Walmart...I had some to spare. I knew it was a bit early....af is due around Wednesday.....

I peed on it, layed it on the counter....wiped....flushed...pulled my pants up....opened the bathroom curtain and was about to proceed to wash up....when I glanced over at the counter.

OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.

My eyes welled up in happy tears! Is this a trick? Should there be some magical additional 3rd line or something? I quickly got the box back out and dug out the directions. It matched the "Pregnant" diagram.

Hands shaking, I didnt know what to do! How do I share the news?! EEEEKKK!!!

I continued to wash up, shaking from head to toe. Smiling ear to ear. Brushed my teeth, chatted with Paige a bit.... said Good Morning to Mike, as he was cooking breakfast in the kitchen.

and I couldnt hold it in any longer.

I rushed back to the bathroom, wrapped the pee soaked test in a tissue, and carried it back out to the kitchen, behind my back.

"Ummmm...sooo...ummmm... I did something this morning, and got a result I wasn't exactly expecting..."

Mike: "Huh?"

I stick out my shaking hand with the test...he glances over.....then his eyes bug out and he goes in for a good look.

"Woa!" ...and he smiles.

Scared of the "blue dye" tests being sometimes inaquarate, I tested again around 3pm with a different brand test.

Oh yea, baby.

Oh yea, i also got a call that I won a vacation today...tho I won a similar one last year too....it requires attending a seminar over 2 hours away in order to obtain the package. No thanks. If I really won it...mail it to me. I told them to give it to someone else.

Talk about a lucky Sunday!
