Preschool went OK! I did fine, surprisingly....i think Ive had enough time to prepare myself....i felt pretty READY. I was the typical First Time Mom and took pictures of EVERYTHING. At home, the school, her class, in the hall...you name it. LOL. . She did great-- went right to playing with the kids--then Mike and I lingered out of the room.....and as we passed the 2nd doorway...she spotted us...and came running....tears starting....sobbing she didn't want us to leave, and she wanted to go home. Broke my heart. The teacher gave us a few minutes ...but she just wouldn't settle down. So i gave her a big hug & kiss, and Mike pried her off me...and I left. Then he spent 2-3 minutes with her....and the teacher had to basically bear hug her to let Mike leave.
. We felt bad. Thankfully, her teacher called us at home like 25 minutes later to inform us that she stopped crying after about 10 minutes, and was doing great.
After we knew she was OK-- Mike and I went out to lunch at the 99. It was nice...and quiet. I can't recall the last time we had lunch alone, just the 2 of us.
I picked her up at 3, she painted her name on some paper, and is eager to go back today...she had a lot of fun. Hooray! Lets hope Mike does better dropping her off today.
This morning as we all laid in bed (and DANG was it CHILLY this morning....50 degrees!-- Paige climbed into our bed around 7am softly whining about how COLD she was..and she was...she was like a lil icicle!)... Mike was asking her all about her day and asks "Did you meet a boyfriend?"...
She tosses her head to the side, and with such a teenage attitude scoffs and rolls her eyes at him "There are a TON of BOYS in my class, Daddy!". LOL! She did talk a lot yesterday about a little boy named Josh...and how Josh painted on her paper (which she was mad about), and that Josh had cookies at snack time.
Upon entering her classroom, i saw a sign on the wall stating "This is a Peanut/Tree-Nut free classroom". Ok, respectable....and understandable. BUT, shouldn't they have let us know this before school started (it SHOULD have been in the info packet!)? What if I had packed her a peanut butter snack? We have no peanut allergies at home or in my family...so PB is a staple in our household. We even bought Paige peanutbutter crackers for school snacks! Thankfully, yesterday I did not pack those since she had a PB&J sandwich for lunch before we went to school ( she had pretzels & raisins for snack). Now we have to make sure the PB crackers stay at home-- i told P I'll buy her some cheese crackers to replace'm.

Sounds like things went pretty well. Reese is still extremely clingy when we drop her off!
