Today was sunny and in the upper 80s. Hot, for this time of the year in early April! The weather forecasts have been right, and todays gorgeous weather was made well known before it came. On my drive home from work to pick up Paige, my car thermostat said it was 87 degrees out.
And what did my husband send my daughter to school in this morning?
A giant t-shirt, jeans, socks and sneakers. AND A JACKET. LOL! Seriously!! Yet, this is the same man that forgot to put a jacket on her 3 weeks ago when it was 40 degrees out. The same one that constantly forgets to pack her umbrella or put her rain coat on when it is pouring rain out. But 80 degrees and sunny-- and he makes her wear her fleece jacket. What kinda crack is he smoking?! LOL!
Last week I cleaned out her closet and got out and washed all her spring apparel. She has a drawer full of clean and folded capris, cute bermuda shorts, lightweight tees, spring shirts, as well as a closet full of spring dresses and skirts, and I even bought her some lightweight slip on canvas sneakers she could wear with ankle socks or no socks at all (they are machine washable).
Poor kid was BEET red and sweating like a monkey when I picked her up. All she did was whine on the playground about how hot it was. Obviously she wasnt wearing the jacket-- but the long pants, socks & sneakers were more than enough as well as the giant t-shirt that went almost down to her wrists! Sorry hunny, its not my fault Daddy was a dumbass.
I am picking out her clothes from now on!!! LOL.
