Today was Paige's first Dentist appointment!
I took her to my Dentist, since the hygienist there is super sweet, and practically knows P from all Ive talked about her!
Paige did AMAZING!!! Like everything else that we think will be weird, she hopped right into it like she was a pro. I expected her to want to sit on my lap....but nope, big girl time.
She hopped right up onto the chair, they bibbed her...and began with the exam. The hygienist went slowly and explained all the tools and let Paige try and touch everything. Everything went great!
They said her teeth look great, and we are doing an awesome job brushing. There was no build-up! She told me not to feel guilty about our tooth brushing battles, cause...it's been paying off. She said she still has issues sometimes getting her 7 year old to brush.
Only issue they saw was that it looks like Paige will always have a space between her 2 front teeth. The piece, called "frenum" is the piece that connects the upper lip to the gums....but her's connects right at her tooth line (in between her 2 front teeth), rather than ABOVE the tooth line, like most people. She said it is fairly common....and it may require a simple surgery if we ever want the gap to close (would be a snip of the skin, etc....EW!) As of right now, i have no interest in putting my child thru anything like that!!!

Great job at the dentist P! My sister actually had the snip done. It was no biggie. Then again it was HER and not ME! :)
