So I was looking through some photos from a year ago.... you know, that epic wedding of the century.... and I cant believe how much younger my daughter looks compared to NOW! Seeing your kids day to day, you sometimes don't see the subtle changes. In comparison to last year at this time, she is a few inches taller now, her face has thinned out a lot, as has her body in general. Gone is the baby chub. Every day she is becoming more and more a girl..and less my baby girl. This is her last full week of Kindergarten. After next week, I will officially have a 1st grader. She is a bit sad....stating often that she will miss her teacher. I don't blame her, her K teacher is just amazing....and sweet and so full of love. She has been a great "mom away from home" to Paige...and helped her transition into big kid school. I hope her teacher next year is just as nice.
In boy news, last week Dylan figured out how to pull himself up onto his knees.
Well, ever since, he has perfected that...and spent much of the week up on his knees, sitting on them, playing, reaching for things, etc.
Now he has moved on to fully pulling himself up, ONTO HIS FEET. This has now been perfected as well. He uses anything to do so... a basket of blocks, random toys, tables, my legs, his walker...you name it! He's now began cruising around in his crib....so of course....im sure in another week or so, he'll have perfected THAT skill, too.
Time is going by too fast! I still maintain my favorite stage is 5-7 months. They can sit up well...and play with toys...but arent quite mobile just yet, but are interactive! Don't get me wrong, i LOVE this current stage...it can be fun! He follows us like a lil puppy and is so cute to watch him explore things. However, he is never content with just sitting and playing anymore...I put him down...he plays for a minute...then MUST crawl away. LOL. A month ago, he'd sit contently for 40 minutes playing!
Before I know it, he'll be toddling around! Eeek! I like crawling better...for now. Hehe. :-)

I am so glad Rowie isn't crawling yet. I am trying to cherish the stationary baby just a little while longer. :-)
