Thursday Randomness

• My kiddo has a "playdate" was some of her girl friends from school. I just got off the phone with one of the moms...P is gonna be sooooo excited!
  
  
• My child told me the other night, before I kissed her goodnight that "i had a terrible boring day. You are boring Mommy and didnt play with me...and Daddy never does too"..in the most pathetic voice ever...basically saying "YOU SUCK AT MOTHERHOOD MOM, F-YOU!" in her 4 year old mind. I was crushed.
  
  
• Ive aimed to "play more", cause I will admit-- I dont as much as I used too. The play stuff just isnt as intriguing as it was when she was a babe, ya know? I just dont "play Barbie" right... or have interest in Ponies and cats with cats on cats playing with cats who eat with cats and cats cats cats. We had a heart to heart...and I told her what I *do* enjoy doing with her....maybe we could compromise? Mike has some favorites he enjoys as well with her, like building blocks, hands-on crafts, etc.... while I enjoy puzzles, board games, coloring, etc. She totally took it all in.
  
  
• Yesterday she kicked my butt in "Go Fish"... we played hide & seek til Mommy's fat butt could no longer find a spot big enough to hide it... we colored... we even played "Barbie Dentist"...and I only had to provide voices for the characters, and didnt have to walk the plastic dolls at all-- it was actually pretty comedic. We ended the evening watching 101 Dalmations. A nice "bonding day" overall after she totally trashed me the night before.
  
  
• We got over a foot of snow yesterday. The super heavy wet stuff. Then today? We've had POURING RAIN for over 12 hours straight!! Crazy!
  
  
• My Nana's cat had to be put to sleep the other night (old age). Too sad. He was technically my Grandpa's "buddy".... tho my Grandpa passed away over 3 years ago. Now Max is gone... and my Nana is all alone. Breaks my heart!
  
  
• Am I the only one that could care less about the Olympics? Seriously? Big marketing sham!

• Big Cooking Show event next weekend. Can't wait for it to be done & over! 1000+ people in and out and through... organizing staff...its fun and I totally thrive on big events the day of them....but all the planning & anticipation is so agonizing.With my preggo brain- I hope I don't forget something. :-P
