So i don't forget...Im gonna put down all the milestones Mr. Dylan has hit so far....this is going so fast!
*speed crawling
*can crawl with toys in each hand...LOL.
*pulls up on EVERYTHING
*claps
*pincher grasp
*mimics mouth noises (clicks, pops, pretend chewing, etc)
*dances to music...even the music in his head.;-)
*understands the word "no", and "bubba".
*suddenly LOVES being read to! This is a relief, because I began reading to Paige at 8 weeks old...and she would contently sit through books nightly. I tried with D...and he would SLAM the books shut and push them away almost every.single.time. Suddenly...around 8 months....he can't get enough! On average, we go thru 3-4 books before bed....he reaches for more when one's done!
*He just recently began pointing at things with his index finger.
*gets simple games, like peek-a-boo and chase.
*Eating everything like a pro!
*is attempting to stand up from crawling, unassisted. Has done it a few times when tempted by food. Hah!
*puts balls in the appropriate slots on toys-- i.e. down the ramp or into the lil drop tunnel, over and over again.
*Is beginning to try and repeat some words ("Paigey","all done","bath!" "ball", "Banana"..comesout "bah-nananananananananana" hehe)...tho obviously not very clearly.Gets super happy when we figure out what he's trying to say.;-)
*Climbs me when he's ready for a nap...puts his head on my shoulder....which means "im ready!".
*Mastered the soft-spout sippy cup. We're working on a straw cup now. Doing OK with it...but forgets he doesnt have to tip it upside down!
Why must my babies grow so fast??? We don't push them, I swear!!!!! I *like* the baby stage! LOL. I was checking P's baby book...and Dylan right now is the size that Paige was at 1 year (actually a tad bit taller with bigger feet!) Hah.
Paige-
reading on her own! Tonight she read "Are You My Mother" by PD Eastman with not one error or stumble! Rock on!
Annual BBQ coming up. August is always a busy busy busy month for us!
