In 2009...we did a lot of "Firsts"
- First time blueberry & raspberry picking for Paige and I
- First time apple picking for Paige and I (that was fun! and that farm was B E A U T I F U L! We will definetly be taking a trip back there next fall!)
- Paige got her first bike!
- Took her rollerblading for the 1st time
- 1st swimming lessons
- We bought our first pool!
- Paige got her 1st haircut the weekend after her 4th Birthday
- and of course the big 1st ....was my baby girl's 1st day of SCHOOL!
I feel like summer was a success. We did a lot of trips to the farm, went to the beach, berry picking, swimming, did the veggie garden again.....and ended the summer with the usual Paige B'day Party/BBQ Bash weekend....despite the torentail downpour of rain mid-day into the early night...it was fun!. Fullfilling overall.
Paige has grown in LEAPS & BOUNDS into an amazing little girl. She is becoming such an awesome person, and it is amazing how much they can change and learn and develop in just one year.
2009 was also frustrating and upsetting. While I feel like i mentally blocked away the first half of it (seriously, what happened Jan-May? I cant remember..LOL). Money issues keep popping up left and right... the typical game of whenever we get up....we get punched right back down somehow. September brought the flu for the 3 of us...followed by cold after cold after cold and sinus infections for Mike & Paige. The mold issue returned, again. We're still battling conception issues...and truck on month after month....
Mike had his teeth out last week...and has a major bacterial infection in his sinuses currently. On the 4th antibiotic in 3 months...which sort of scares me.
Our good friends just lost their incredibly hard earned baby boy yesterday at 23 weeks. My heart aches for them. Times like these makes me wonder why life is so unfair..... the best people seem to get burned for no reason at times....
So we wrap up this year on 2 bad notes. Well...now a 3rd...i just found out my Sister was checked into the hospital this afternoon for chest-pains. Basic scans show everyone OK-- but they are keeping her overnight for observation.
So yea... 2009 seems to be a bitch in the end.....LOL. I am thankful for the good memories we made...and hope those hurt heal and mend in 2010.
Adios 2009---- bring it on, 2010! Here's to a NEW YEAR, here's to HAPPINESS, here's to HEALTH, and PROSPER!!!
Happy New Year everyone!
