Funny, it takes a holiday to be honestly broke and going without......to make you learn and realize the TRUE meaning of the holiday. This year, i learned what family really is. I learned what a true friend is. To give....without need to receive back. To give when one's down....simply to just help out......giving a helping hand in any way one can do so. I thank those that have helped us this Holiday season.....you not only helped us financially....but you filled my heart, that was once filled with anger and frustration.....you filled once again with love and hope.
So it's been a winter wonderland here! We got 3 long days of nonstop snow last weekend. Craziness. Got about 2 feet. This morning it was just bitterly cold.... 5 degrees out. Brrrrr! THAT is painful cold. Now it's 22...and honestly, dosent feel so bad. LOL! Imagine that...22 degrees is "ok".... well, in comparison to the 5....hell yea!!
This is my first winter in the Malibu...and so far....i am proud to say, it handles well in the snow! I do love Chevy for that reputation.... the solid heavy frame provides the weight needed to keep a steady handle on the road. Yippee!
We leave tomorrow morning to head to my parents house for the holiday.....its basically 2 days of mayhem...then we come home....unload the vehicle....and live in crazy toy-land for a few more days while we try to find new places to PUT all the new toys!
Hopefully this weekend, Paige will be in her big-girl bed!!! How exciting! DH and I are totally ready.... it will be nice to be able to lie in bed with her when needed....rather than on the FLOOR beside her bed......and it will be nice to have a 2nd bed in the house on the occasion that someone is sick or scared, etc.....
I can't believe how fast the last few months have blown by! It feels like we were JUST in August. WTF happened to autumn? Now Christmas is a day away..... sorta makes me sad.....i feel like every year it gets less and less exciting to me..... but, on the other hand.....it IS getting more exciting....as Paige is now TOTALLY into it!!! Its so cute. She's been counting down the days for a week now and tells EVERYONE daily how many more days til Christmas. This year she asked Santa for a "Belle doll with her horse". I hear Santa's bringing it....along with a whole bunch more Princess stuff, too!
