Hard to believe it....but it's already been 1 full year as a family of 4!
We celebrated lil man's first birthday while visiting family. We had over 40 guests and ate over 20 pizzas and chowed on cake. Dylan was NOT a fan of all the people and noise....but did OK.
We took him out for a pancake breakfast the morning of his actual birthday, then to Toys R Us later on...which he had a blast tearing stuff from the shelves. ;-)
He is now walking full-throttle....and picking up speed. He walks 95% of the time now and even took off almost running when I put him down in Walmart the other night. Oi! ;-)
He is the most chill lil guy I know. He seriously is a pleasure to be around and is soooo sweet. I really hope he stays this way and doesn't have a devilish evil twin awaiting to emerge in the coming months! ♥ him so much.
Paige is doing somewhat better with him...still has boundary issues and gets yelled at a LOT of being too rough and rude to him. Its a work in progress. She is doing AWESOME in 1st grade, learning how to count coins, tell time, etc. Today she was chosen to say the Pledge of Allegiance over the intercom at school for earning 3 stars for being a good school "citizen". :-) Im so proud!
I was just thinking the other night...some differences between having a girl and a boy...
*Feetie jammies with rocket ships & dinosaurs on them
*"bed head" is actually a cool hair 'do!
*rarely having to worry about doing hair!
*Getting a TON of TRUCKS for his birthday!
Theres been a lot of stereotypical differences so far already.... as Paige has always been a girly girl... we live in Pink Kitty Barbie Princess, Flower & Butterflies world with her....which is totally cool .... tho I do enjoy now having the polar opposite rough and ready race car track, race car, talking trucks that are also taking over our living room. It's a great balance. :-)
should probably get back to "work" now
