Leaps & Bounds

Is how my child is progressing these days!

Right at this very moment, she is hand-writing the numbers 1-20. Legibly. A few she forgot what they look like, So I wrote them all out on a sheet...and she is using that as reference whenever she gets stumped. I am floored right now. 5 months ago she had a hard time recognizing most numbers after 3!

Last week was our first Parent-Teacher conference. I was nervous, and tried my best not to just ramble on and on about her...but I still did. (*blush*). Anyhow, great reports on her work-- needs a little work on her fine-motor skills, but they are progressing. When it comes to numbers and letters/sounds/comprehension, she scored above & beyond. 2 other kids in the class scored similar, so they are putting the 3 kids together to start working on reading skills. Her teacher says Paige is definitely ready to start reading!

....gtg for now....more later...

....OK....back!

  • Paige just came out in her bat-girl costume....but with one arm out of the sleeve...so it hangs like a strapless dress ...sort-of. She comes out and starts dancing in the kitchen ....so i told her to cover up...cause I could see her boobie. (LOL). She fusses with the "dress"...tells me it's supposed to be like that....looks down and sees her lil nipple sticking out and says "Stupid boobie!"

Im dying laughing here. Guess you have to be here. ;-)
  • OMG...i just got a new toy. It was a "right place at the right time" moment at work today.....and I scored an iPod Touch!!!! I am OVER THE MOON excited about my new "toy"! Wooooohooo. Gotta love working in the entertainment industry some days! :-) Of course I have barely any idea of what this little gadget is capable right now....I am updating it via iTunes at the moment and did get it online via the wireless network at home..... ooooo i see much lost time in my future playing with this thing! ;-)

Anyone else have one? Whats some cool things to do with it? I am thinking about putting some videos on it for when we travel, so P can watch something rather than just read books and stare out the window...
  • I slept in P's bed last night...she woke around 2am with a coupy cough..and slight fever (99.9) ...AGAIN! What gives? Poor kid. Dragged out the humidifer again...and climbed into bed with her. She still has a slight cough today...but no fever. Lets hope she kicks this thing in the butt soon.
  • I am super excited about the holidays this year! I think my new "i dont give a fuck" attitude helps a bit with holiday stress. I am eager to start decorating and already started working with Santa on his shopping list.....

I love how much they are learning at this stage. Way to go Paige!

That's great about the ipod touch! I've never won anything! I've been debating whether to get that one or the iphone.... Let me know how you like it.
